CBS Sports activities Presents Championships of the NCAA will air at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, Saturday, April 30, on CBS Sports. The

Brian Butzler began his collegiate running career in 2001, competing for the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh for a semester before deciding to join the Army Reserves. Soon after training, he returned to school at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and joined the team in 2006 before leaving to serve in Afghanistan in 2009. Now a senior in his final year of eligibility, Butzler is competing during the 5,000 meter run at the Division III Indoor Track and Subject Championships.
Senior Nordic skier Carolyn Freeman within the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay was coached for 3 many years by Butch Reimer. Shortly before the ski season began, Coach Reimer was diagnosed with leukemia and died shortly thereafter. Despite this difficult loss, Freeman has achieved some of her greatest results in her collegiate skiing career.
Senior Albie McKinney on the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse has been wrestling since he was four a long time old. Inside summer season of 2008, McKinney was forced to deal with personal challenges away from the mat. McKinney credits the sport of wrestling for helping him gain perspective and carry him by means of those tough times.
Overshadowed on their own campus by more nationally recognized sports activities, the University of Notre Dame is home to a person with the elite fencing systems during the country. With seven national championships, the team went undefeated last season but failed to bring home a title. The April 30th exhibit is the 26th edition of CBS Sports Presents Championships from the NCAA. Each seasonal present features highlights and unique NCAA student-athlete stories from a variety of NCAA Division II and III championships.
